European Forum on Music, Istanbul Transcending Boundaries – Building Bridges The second edition of the European Forum on Music, entitled “Transcending Boundaries – Building Bridges” will take place from 19 to 22 April 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey, in combination with the Annual Meeting of the European Music Council. Through workshops, plenary discussions and presentations, participants will explore the physical obstacles hindering musical exchange in Europe as well as discuss the role which music can play in overcoming borders – be it geographical, cultural or generational. The European Forum on Music will take place in theBorusan Music House which is located in the heart of Beyoglu - Istanbul's thriving artistic and cultural centre. Registration is now open here! Already over 3.300 participants for Turin Many people already signed up for the festival before November 30th, others have been signing up since. We have reached over 3,300 participants, but there is still room for those who want to join. If you want to know for which ateliers your choir can still be accepted, please write to info(at)ectorino2012.it or call the festival office. Persons who applied will receive an email in the coming weeks from the Festival office, which will confirm they correctly applied. Il y a déjà au delà de 3.300 participants, mais il est encore possible de s'inscrire pour le festival. Si vous voulez savoir pour quels atelier votre choeur peut encore s'inscrire, écrivez à info(at)ectorino2012.it. Les participants inscrits recevront un mail de confirmation du bureau du festival.  Inzwischen haben sich schon über 3.300 Teilnehmer/innen für das Festival angemeldet, aber es ist immer noch möglich sich anzumelden. Wer wissen möchte, in welchen Ateliers noch Platz für Chöre ist, kann an info(at)ectorino2012.it schreiben. Wer sich angemeldet hat, bekommt vom Festivalbüro eine Bestätigungs-Mail.

Important Change for Academy in Pomáz Due to personal reasons of András Farkas (CH), the founder of the International Summer Choir Academy on Oratorio/Orchestra Conducting, the 9th edition of this unique masterclass for choral conductors will have a new conducting tutor this summer: the renowned German conductor, Volker Hempfling shall join Peter Broadbent (UK) at the Academy in the Hungarian Choral Castle from 9th till 19th August 2012. Bei der Sommerakademie in Pomáz 2012 wird Volker Hempfling (DE) statt András Farkas mit Peter Broadbent zusammen arbeiten.
